Dr Salome Oniani is actively involved in scientific research and projects, both locally and internationally. She participated in the international research project COST Action, within the framework of which he obtained a STSM (Short Term Scientific Mission) grant and was on a research visit to the University of Beira Interior, where she worked on the topic: “The effectiveness of using sensors for real-time monitoring of the activity of the elderly”. She also participated in the Hackathon “Internet of Things for Furniture in Smart Habitats” held in Tallinn. Salome actively works in the direction of E-health and mHealth, where she investigates the impact of mobile technologies in terms of maintaining and/or improving health, as evidenced by the scientific articles she has published on this topic. Salome has published 9 scientific papers in Scopus and co-authored two Springer book chapters covering contemporary advances and challenges in mHealth. In addition, she actively works to deepen the STEM direction in schools and participates in international projects such as “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Clubs for Schools”, “TechGirls Georgia” and “Development of youth coding and tech entrepreneurial club networks”. In the mentioned projects, she developed the curriculum, and training materials in Georgian language and conducted relevant pieces of training for both school teachers and school students.
